The morning light often has the blue-ish look to it where as sunset has a golden glow. Of course these days we tools like Photoshop and we can fake it to a degree.
In this shot I hiked-up the hill at sunset hoping to get some kind of drama from the sun as it cast light over the valley. Then I thought I’d wait until the sun was just going below the horizon when I got this one. Its kind of an optical illusion to my mind; it seems like the sun is really rising but the golden glow gives it away.
This is a single RAW exposure processed with Nik Software Color Efex Pro 4 – have you tried this yet? Plus you can create “recipes” that combine a series of effects. This is great to not only speed editing but also ensure you get a replicate look across a series of images.
